Cheesey Hot Dog
- 4 Soft hot dog rolls
- 4 Hans American Hot Dogs
- 25g Butter
- 25g Plain flour
- 150mL Milk
- 150g Grated vintage cheddar cheese
- 150g grated vintage cheddar cheese
- 1 Teaspoon Olive oil
- Roasted capsicum
- Spanish onions, thinly sliced
- 1 Tablespoon Brown sugar
- 1 Tablespoon Chopped chives
Melt the butter in a small pot over medium heat. Add the flour and stir continuously for 1 minute.
Add the milk and keep stirring until all the lumps have dissolved and the sauce has a smooth consistency.
Add the grated cheese, mustard and seasoning and stir until the sauce has thickened. Set aside with a lid on to keep warm.
Heat the olive oil in a fry pan and begin cooking the Hans American Hot Dogs on a medium heat.
Add the onions and keep frying until they have softened then add the roasted capsicum strips.
Remove the Hans American Hot Dogs and place in hot dog rolls.
Add brown sugar to the fry pan and caramelise. Pour over the hot dogs and then pour the cheese sauce over and garnish with chopped chives.
